Friends of the Farm-

Spring seems to be sticking around, and with it we have been actively preparing outdoor beds with irrigation infrastructure, transplanting, up-potting, and flipping our high tunnels for next successions. April 15th is our loose target for last frost, but in the meantime cucumbers and tomatoes are going planted in our high tunnels to get a jump on the season.

Also this week, we wish a very Happy Birthday to Farmer William!

With green garlic making its spring debut, it seemed fitting to give it a proper stage with featured recipe this week. This recipe for green garlic spread is also a handy recipe to make the most use of hearty greens such as beet greens, mustard greens, carrot greens, radish and turnip greens or others you may see from us or the market. It's always nice to have a thrifty catch-all such as this one for finding a home for all parts of your veggies. Variations are welcome too!

Don't forget to tune into this week's edition of our CSA music playlist. Link to our Spotify playlist is attached below to join.
This week's playlist starts with a song that I could listen to a hundred times over...I Shall Wear A Crown by Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir. Personally guaranteed to get you a hit of gospel and get you out of your chair and moving. Little Richard and Quincy Jones tag team a track from later in Little Richard's career with Do It - To It, still with that iconic Little Richard shrill and moving piano. Lastly, we could all use a laugh these days, so be sure to try out HAHA, a track by duo Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul which creates song from spliced and mashed laughter. Enjoy these and others on this week's edition!
