The February issue of The Current should be arriving in the next week and includes a report on 2023 apportionment receipts and a report on the amount of funds collected in disaffiliation agreements from the 79 churches that left The United Methodist Church. The issue also paints a picture of the new IGRC comprised of 784 congregations and a report on their stewardship and mission.

Annual conference update
The initial letter and Conference Checklist will be sent out via email to clergy and lay members of the 2024 Annual Conference next week. The checklist will contain all of the deadlines for this year's session, which is scheduled for June 6-8 at the Peoria Civic Center.
The 2023 Journal-Yearbook has been sent to the printers and duplicators. Upon receipt of the print version and digital media, they will be mailed out.
The digital media will be loaded onto a thumb drive which will include both a web version as well as a print version for printing out particular items from the Journal-Yearbook. The movement toward the USB flash drives will enable the Conference to send out various supplorting materials from the Annual Conference (videos, etc.)

Coming Feb. 15 -- IGRC Clergy Portal
IGRC Communications will be launching a Clergy Portal on the IGRC website Feb. 15. An email will be sent out at that time, inviting persons to setup an online account.
The new account will allows pastors to update contact information such as new addresses, emails and phone numbers.
The clergy portal will also provide a place to report continuing education and training as well as link to the Church Dashboards of the church or churches to which the clergy are appointed.

General Conference legislation
The supplemental Advance edition of the Daily Christian Advocate is now available online at DailyChristianAdvocate.org. The Advance Daily Christian Advocate (ADCA) contains the agenda, rules, petitions, reports from the general agencies/commissions and study committees, information for delegates and codes of conduct for the General Conference.
The website includes:
- New valid petitions to the postponed General Conference received prior to Sept. 6, 2023
- New reports from the General Agencies of The United Methodist Church
- New Delegate Handbook information, including an updated schedule, lists of people to know, the Plan of Organization and Rules of Order, and other important information for delegates to the 2024 General Conference.
- Petitions received for the 2020 General Conference according to the original dates and previously published in 2020
There are 1,099 total valid petitions to the General Conference, including 352 new valid petitions received prior to Sept. 6, 2023.

Year-end reporting portal now open
The IGRC AC Stats portal is open for reporting of 2023 statistical data. The report for 2023 is due no later than March 1, 2024.
There are two ways to access AC Stats:

Covenant Keepers 2024 registration open
Covenant Keepers 2024 will be held Monday, Feb. 26 - Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Regency Convention Center in O'Fallon. This is scheduled as an in-person event.
The theme for this year's event is A Time to Plant, A Time to Build, based upon Ecclesiastes 3:2-3.
The agenda will be from 10:30 a.m. Monday to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The presenters will be Romal Tune and more are being finalized!

GBHEM Scholarship Program open
Each year GBHEM awards over $5.5 million in scholarships to students from across the world. The GBHEM scholarship application portal will open Dec. 15. Students can submit one general application which will be screened for all possible eligible programs. Applicant musts be an active, full member of The United Methodist Church for at least one year and pursuing a degree program at an accredited institution within the U.S.

Applications for interns sought, available
Applications for the IGRC Intern Program for Summer 2024 and the 2024-25 academic year are now available. Prospective interns, mentors, and host churches/ministries are all invited to apply. The priority deadline for early consideration is Monday, January 15, 2024, while the final deadline is Friday, March 1.
