Conversations About Sacred Music

Please join Director of Music Ministry, Kedrick Armstrong, as he guides a two-week adult education class about the role of sacred music in today's church. The class surveys everything from renaissance music of the early church to the contemporary music of Hillsong, and discuss where our church might be heading in the future. Come prepared with your questions and thoughts, ready to discover more about the massive breadth of church music.

Matthew 25

As recommend by the mission committee, the session at First Pres recently voted to become a Matthew 25 Church, joining a national denominational initiative. The focus of Mathew 25 is to address congregational vitality, structural racism and systematic poverty. During this informative session, learn how our church can begin to embrace this missional opportunity.

Financial Peace - Live!

Deacons' Fall Blood Drive

Schedule your appointment using the signup sheet at the Welcome Desk after worship or online

Appointments will be honored first; walk-ins can sign up at the blood drive. All presenting donors will receive a $10 Colonial Café Gift Certificate as a special thank you for your donation! Photo ID is required. Thank you for supporting our blood drive. Help us to save lives this fall by coming out and donating. Remember, one donation can save up to THREE LIVES!

Christmas at the White House is indeed magical. Jenny Riddle and Elizabeth Doyle share stories of the Presidents’ families through the years, as well as some of their favorite songs. Refreshments will be served. Wonderful for adults and families with children over 5. Child care provided for children under 5. Click here for more information.

First Pres Preschool Priority Enrollment 2020-21
First Pres Preschool & Pre-K is now accepting priority applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Church members have priority status through November 22, 2019. Fair Exchange Coffee and Tea For Sale This Sunday
Fair Exchange coffee and tea are served each Sunday and 12-ounce coffee bags are available for sale on the second Sunday of the month. For every pound of Equal Exchange products purchased, Equal Exchange donates 15 cents to the Presbyterian Hunger Program for sustainable farming and community development grants around the world. WF High School Ministry
Sunday, November 10 – Tonight – Hot Breakfast! Meet us in the kitchen at 9:45 a.m. to make up some waffles, bacon and tots! Then, grab a friend and come back for some WF fun at 6:00 p.m. We’ll play some fun games, have Dip Night at snacks, and a great night of worship, devo and small group.

Roseland “Good News” Day Care Center Collections  
We will stop collecting items for Roseland “Good News” Day Care Center during November and December. Instead, we will be collecting new and gently used clothing and household goods for Christmas Sharing at our church. After our guests shop at Christmas Sharing, we are able to shop for Ms Pearl, her moms and their kids. Thank you!
