Serving Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Since 2002

Dear Residents,

This month has been challenging for many of our military families and federal civilian employees, and PWF remains committed to maintaining normal community operations. I’d like to take a moment to provide an important update.

PWF will receive allotments from DFAS for October rent for our active-duty residents who pay by allotment. We recognize there is continued uncertainty regarding future pay as the shutdown continues. Please know we are navigating this alongside you, and PWF will not assess late fees or penalties for active-duty residents affected by the shutdown.

Federal civilian employees, we encourage you to contact our office for assistance and guidance. Our hope is that this shutdown is resolved quickly. In the meantime, we will continue to support you, answer questions, and work with residents through this period of uncertainty.

As information continues to evolve, we will keep you updated. We are committed to navigating this together. For additional resources, here is a helpful article from the WPAFB website: Help available for Airmen, Guardians, civilians to mitigate lapse in appropriations.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out—we are here to help.

Best Regards,

Tonya Patrick

Courtyard Sign Lighting Upgrades - Prairies Legacy

The lighting upgrade project is nearly complete!

While most of the work is complete, there are still a few signs left to finish. The contractor has indicated that the project should be fully wrapped in November.

For your safety, please continue to use caution when passing by the work areas near the courtyard signs.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we enhance your community!

ATTENTION WOODS RESIDENTS:

The dumpsters located in the Woods are for construction materials only. For you personal items that need disposal, please use the dumpsters located The Prairies, located at 6931 Chapel Lane.

🔒 Shed Lock Reminder – Legacy Project

As part of the Legacy Project, we kindly remind all residents that locks must be removed from sheds. We’ve had several instances where locks were left in place, which has required additional time and resources to have them removed.

To help keep the project on schedule and avoid unnecessary delays, please make sure any locks and all hanging personal items on your shed are promptly removed.

We truly appreciate your cooperation in making this process smooth for everyone!

🔧 Furnace Filters & Cold-Weather Prep

With this week's chilly temperatures, many of you are turning on the heat! Help us keep your system running safely and efficiently by changing your furnace filter every 30 days.

Fresh filters improve air quality, reduce strain on your system, and help lower energy costs.

Free supplies at the Self-Help Store include:

  • ✅ Furnace filters
  • 🔋 Batteries for smoke detectors and thermostats
  • 💡 Light bulbs
  • 🔧 Plus other common home-care items

If you’re unsure which filter size you need, check the label on your current filter or your furnace panel. You can take it with you for exchange or take a photo!

We also recommend writing the date the filter is changed on the side panel of the filter so you don't have to guess when it was last changed!

If your system isn’t heating properly after changing the filter, please contact Maintenance.

Thank you for helping keep our homes safe and comfortable!
