for their outstanding yard care efforts. Your commitment to maintaining beautiful yards not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of our community but also fosters a welcoming atmosphere for all residents. We encourage everyone to continue participating in our yard care initiatives, as it reflects the pride we share in our community’s appearance.

🚗 “Driveways, Garages & Good Neighbors”

Parking within the family housing areas can sometimes be limited. Please remember that there are no assigned parking spaces, except for unit-specific garages and private driveways.

Residents and guests should park only in designated, approved parking spaces.

We encourage everyone to be reasonable and considerate when parking.

If any issues or misunderstandings arise, try speaking with your neighbor first. If further assistance is needed, please reach out to the PWF Leasing and Management office and we’ll be happy to help resolve the matter.

🔒 Shed Lock Reminder – Legacy Project

As part of the Legacy Project, we kindly remind all residents that locks must be removed from sheds. We’ve had several instances where locks were left in place, which has required additional time and resources to have them removed.

To help keep the project on schedule and avoid unnecessary delays, please make sure any locks on your shed are promptly removed.

We truly appreciate your cooperation in making this process smooth for everyone!

🌊 Community Pond Guidelines: Enjoy Responsibly

Our community pond, located behind the Community Center is a wonderful spot for our residents' relaxation and recreation, and we ask that all residents follow these simple guidelines to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone:

  • 🎣 The pond is for residents and their guests only
  • ✅ No fishing license is required
  • 🐟 Fishing is catch and release only
  • 🚫 Do not throw rocks in the pond (they are there to prevent erosion)
  • 🚫 No swimming
  • 🚫 No boating
  • 🚫 No standing, playing, or skating on the ice during winter months
  • 🚫 Do not dump or add any outside fish into the pond

Thank you for helping us care for our shared space so that all residents can enjoy it year-round!

Restriping Parking Areas in The Prairies

We’re giving some of the parking lots in The Prairies a fresh new look with restriping! Weather permitting, work will begin on Wednesday, September 24, and continue until all designated areas are completed.

Please note: Parking in active work areas will be temporarily unavailable for the day while restriping is in progress. Residents and contractors will need to avoid working or parking in those areas until the project is finished.

We’ll share more specific details next week! Once the work in The Prairies is complete, we’ll begin resurfacing and restriping the basketball and tennis courts in The Woods.

Thank you for your cooperation!

The Woods - Driveway Repaving Project

This project is being completed by Vandalia Blacktop, a trusted PWF-contracted vendor, and is part of our ongoing efforts to improve both safety and curb appeal in the neighborhood.

What to Expect:

In preparation for paving, you may see PWF staff and contractors in the area performing the following tasks:

  • Removing tree roots
  • Relocating or removing downspouts that may interfere with the repaving process

Before work begins in your driveway:

  • Each resident will be notified individually.

Important Parking Notice:

Once the work begins in your driveway:

  • You will not be able to park in your driveway or garage for approximately 4 to 5 days
  • Temporary "No Parking" zones will be posted and updated daily - please ensure your vehicle is not parked in these areas during active construction. Please refrain from parking in any driveways that are currently under construction or in cul-de-sacs.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation. During this time, some residents may need to temporarily park near or in front of your home. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Accessibility Needs:

If someone in your household has mobility needs or requires driveway access, please contact the maintenance office once you receive your phase notification letter. We'll make every effort to accommodate you.

Thank you for your support as we work to improve and beautify your community!

Notice of Sewer Locating Activities in The Woods

Miller Pipeline began conducting sewer locating work in The Woods last week. The project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. We kindly ask residents to remain mindful of the crews as they carry out this important work. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Courtyard Sign Lighting Upgrades - Prairies Legacy

A PWF-contracted vendor will soon begin upgrading the lighting on the courtyard address signs for the Legacy housing neighborhoods. A licensed electrician will be on-site to complete the rewiring and installation of the new fixtures.

For your safety, please use caution when passing by the work areas near the courtyard signs.

Thank you for your awareness and cooperation as we enhance your community!

For safety reasons, the playground located at Longstreet and Vandorn Lanes is temporarily closed and will remain inaccessible until further notice.

WPAFB has begun construction in the area, extending from the entrance of Longstreet Lane to the existing green fence. This work will include the installation of temporary fencing, and contractors will require access to the backyards of homes along this route.

In the coming weeks, base personnel or affiliated contractors will conduct site investigations of the storm sewer system in your neighborhood as a result of recently discovered soil erosion. As a precaution, fencing has been installed in specific areas and signage placed for the safety of residents. Monitoring of the system will continue, and additional fencing will be installed as needed to ensure resident safety.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as this essential safety project is completed.
