PLAYGROUND CLOSURE NOTICE

For safety reasons, the playground located at Longstreet and Vandorn is temporarily closed and will remain inaccessible until further notice.
WPAFB has initiated construction in the area, extending from the entrance of Longstreet Lane to the existing green fence. This work will include the installation of temporary fencing, and contractors will require access to the backyards of homes along this route.
We understand this may cause some inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation as this essential safety project is completed.

The Woods - Upcoming Driveway Repaving
We’re excited to announce that driveway repaving in The Woods will begin this July! This project will be completed by a PWF-contracted vendor and aims to enhance both safety and curb appeal throughout the neighborhood.
In preparation, you may see PWF staff and contractors in the area throughout June. They will be removing trees and roots and potentially relocating or removing downspouts that may interfere with the repaving process.
Our target start date for driveway work is early July. Once the schedule is confirmed, we will provide advance notice to each resident with their specific project dates - weather permitting.
Please Note – Parking Impact:
Once work begins on your driveway, you will not be able to park in your garage or on your driveway for approximately 4 to 5 days. Temporary "No Parking" zones will also be implemented on nearby streets during this period.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to improving your community!

Please be considerate of neighbors by keeping dogs under control and minimizing barking at all times.
Pet areas must be cleaned daily (or more often if needed), and you must immediately clean up any pet waste outside your home year-round. Please dispose of pet feces in your own trash cans, not in the community trash cans.
| |
Now is the time to enhance the look of your home's exterior and tidy up your yard! Simple tasks like mowing (50 feet from your homes exterior), weeding, trimming, and cleaning up pet waste will help keep your yard and the community looking its best.
To make things easier, lawn equipment is available to borrow from the Self-Help Store on a first-come, first-served basis.
| MULCH IS NOW AVAILABLE at the Self-Help Store! | |
PWF grounds crews are working to enhance the common areas. We are now in the process of mulching the playground areas to ensure they stay safe and inviting for everyone.
Additionally, our PWF contracted vendors are mowing the community areas. We kindly ask all residents to REMOVE ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY from these areas when not in use to prevent any potential damage.
As a reminder, PWF and/or contracted vendors are not responsible for any damage to personal property left in the common areas.
| |
PWF has begun applying weed and feed treatment throughout residential areas. Front and side yards will be sprayed, and small flags will be placed to indicate treated areas.
Important Reminder: Please keep children and pets off the grass until it is completely dry.
If you prefer not to have your yard treated, please contact our Maintenance Department at
937-253-6009, Option 3, so we can remove your home from the treatment list.

CenterPoint Energy Gas Line Upgrade - The Woods
CenterPoint Energy will be upgrading gas lines in The Woods over the next few months, weather permitting. This project involves replacing the exterior gas line to your home and connecting it to the newly installed system.
A PWF representative will contact you to schedule your home's upgrade. An adult (18 or older) must be present in the afternoon on your scheduled day to allow access to your home.
Please Note:
-
The upgrade will involve a gas outage lasting approximately 5 hours.
-
After the outage, CenterPoint crews will need to enter your home to relight pilot lights. If access is not provided, you may be without heat or hot water until the next day.
-
Crew may need to dig in front of your home or a nearby property to complete the work. If you see crews working, please park in your driveway rather than on the street to allow room for equipment and ensure safety.
- Any digging will be filled or covered by the following morning.
Traffic in certain areas may be temporarily impacted, but normal flow will resume once the work is finished. Please drive carefully, follow posted signs, and respect any guidance from workers or flaggers in the area.
