Town Hall Meeting

Wednesday, 16 April

6 - 8 PM

Join us for a community meeting! Residents are requested to Sign up for this Town Hall Meeting by 14 April.

The topics for discussion are The Woods Renovation and the policy for Carpet Damage.

Please send your questions for either topic in advance, to Tonya Patrick no later than 10 April at: tonya.patrick@wpafbhomes.com

Storm Reminder

After last night's storm and with more storms predicted, please stay weather aware of impending conditions. Secure outdoor items that could be blown away, such as trash & recycle bins, patio furniture, play equipment, and anything else at risk. Ensure your storm doors are properly secured to prevent damage, and if you haven’t already, secure your trampoline. Also, remember to charge your cell phones. Please stay safe!

Spring Into Action: Time to Tidy Up Your Yard!!

With warmer weather on the way, now is the perfect time to spruce up the exterior of your home and yard! Simple tasks like mowing, weeding, trimming, and cleaning up pet waste will help keep your yard and the community looking its best.

To make things easier, lawn equipment is available to borrow from the Self-Help Store on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that yard violation notices will begin going out on Monday, April 7th. Take a little time now to tidy up and help avoid any potential notices.

Thank you for keeping our neighborhood beautiful!

Common Areas

Our PWF grounds crews have begun their work to enhance the common areas, including elevating trees and spraying in The Prairies and The Woods. Once the spraying is completed, we will begin mulching the playground areas to ensure they stay safe and inviting for everyone.

While flags are up in the playground areas, please refrain from allowing your children or pets to play there until the flags are removed.

Additionally, our PWF contracted vendors will soon begin mowing the community areas. We kindly ask all residents to remove any personal property from these areas when not in use to prevent any potential damage.

As a reminder, PWF and/or contracted vendors are not responsible for any damage to personal property left in the common areas.

Infrastructure Upgrades in The Woods

During the next few weeks, American Water and Associated Hydro will be conducting work on the water infrastructure in The Woods, including Middy, McDowell, Semmes, Weitzel, Mosby, and Buel.

During this period, traffic control measures will be in place, and some areas may have limited access. Traffic flow will return to normal once the work is complete. We thank you for your patience and cooperation as necessary improvements are made to the local infrastructure.

CenterPoint Energy Project in The Woods

CenterPoint Energy has started the next phase of their project for The Woods, with work continuing through early Fall. During this phase, you will notice crews from CenterPoint Energy or Miller Pipeline marking sewer and storm lines at certain homes and street crossings, using a vac truck to spot utilities, and installing gas main lines.

CenterPoint Energy has begun digging/using a vac truck along VanDorn Lane, Longstreet Lane, and the walking path that runs parallel to Kauffman Road, from Shields Avenue to VanDorn Lane.

Once CenterPoint Energy provides a schedule for individual gas outages, a PWF employee will reach out to individual residents with additional details. Please stay alert for these crews and be mindful of any changes in traffic patterns while work is being performed.
