New Recycle Bins!
Rumpke is planning to switch out your old red bins for brand-new 35-gallon Comix carts either on Tuesday 15 April or Tuesday 22 April, depending on the arrival of the new carts. Here's how it will work: on your regular service day, the red bins will be emptied as usual, and then a team will follow behind the service truck to deliver a shiny new Comix cart to each unit, swapping out your old bin at the same time. The best part? Rumpke is aiming to complete this in one day—but if needed, they'll have everything wrapped up by the end of the following day, Wednesday.

During the testing period, motorists should be on the lookout for American Water personnel operating hydrants and walking near the roadway. Gas Line Replacement Project for Legacy Homes
Exciting news! In the coming weeks, we’ll be kicking off the Gas Line Replacement Project for the Legacy Homes. During this time, we’ll be removing the rear fences to install a brand-new gas line to each home. Once the installation is complete, we’ll build a new fence in its place. This project is expected to last until October, weather permitting.
As we begin work in your area, please take note of the following:
- Remove items from on and around the fences and sheds.
- Remove any locks from gates and sheds for easy access.
- Pick up after your pets and keep them on a leash when outside until your new fence is installed.
- Supervise children carefully while they play outside, as there will be crews digging and open areas while we lay the new gas lines.
- Be mindful of workers as they work on this project to ensure everyone's safety.
We will keep you updated with more details as they become available. Thank you for your cooperation as we improve your community!

Spring Into Action: Time to Tidy Up Your Yard!!
With warmer weather on the way, now is the perfect time to spruce up the exterior of your home and yard! Simple tasks like mowing, weeding, trimming, and cleaning up pet waste will help keep your yard and the community looking its best.
To make things easier, lawn equipment is available to borrow from the Self-Help Store on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that yard violation notices will begin going out on Monday, April 7th. Take a little time now to tidy up and help avoid any potential notices.
Thank you for keeping our neighborhood beautiful!

Common Areas
Our PWF grounds crews have begun their work to enhance the common areas, including elevating trees and spraying in The Prairies and The Woods. Once the spraying is completed, we will begin mulching the playground areas to ensure they stay safe and inviting for everyone.
While flags are up in the playground areas, please refrain from allowing your children or pets to play there until the flags are removed.
Additionally, our PWF contracted vendors have begun mowing the community areas. We kindly ask all residents to REMOVE ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY from these areas when not in use to prevent any potential damage.
As a reminder, PWF and/or contracted vendors are not responsible for any damage to personal property left in the common areas.

CenterPoint Energy Project in The Woods
CenterPoint Energy has started the next phase of their project for The Woods, with work continuing through early Fall. During this phase, you will notice crews from CenterPoint Energy or Miller Pipeline marking sewer and storm lines at certain homes and street crossings, using a vac truck to spot utilities, and installing gas main lines.
CenterPoint Energy has begun digging/using a vac truck along VanDorn Lane, Longstreet Lane, and the walking path that runs parallel to Kauffman Road, from Shields Avenue to VanDorn Lane.
Once CenterPoint Energy provides a schedule for individual gas outages, a PWF employee will reach out to individual residents with additional details. Please stay alert for these crews and be mindful of any changes in traffic patterns while work is being performed.
