This Week In Worship - Bluff Edition

To Prepare For Worship:
Since 1946 the Men’s Club Organization at First Immanuel Lutheran Ministries has served as stewards of the church, school and community.

This includes sponsoring major events such as the annual FILS youth basketball tournament, Men's Bible classes and ministries, the annual fall Beef Dinner as well as funding major capital improvement programs.

In 2000, the Men’s club initiated the 1st Charity Golf & Auction event to raise funds to replace the much needed gym floor. With GOD’s grace and the generous support of many in our family of faith and the local business community we were blessed in achieving this goal.

We are now celebrating our 19th annual charity golf outing and have raised over $200,000 in donations used to support the many charities both within and outside of First Immanuel Lutheran Ministries.

Please join us at this fun event as we continue to support our growing ministry here and around the world.

STEPHEN MINISTRY MOMENT
“O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.” Isaiah 25:1 How does a Stephen Ministry relationship work? Stephen Ministers meet with their care receivers for about one hour a week and may also touch base on the phone in between that time. The Stephen Minister offers a compassionate listening ear and Christian caring. To underscore one of the key points of Stephen Ministry, it is confidential. The only people who know the identity of the care receiver are the care receiver, the Stephen Minister, and the pastor or Stephen Leader who linked the two together. Nobody else knows, not even the other Stephen Leaders or Stephen Ministers. In this way, care receivers can feel assured that anything they tell their Stephen Ministers will remain confidential. To find out if this caring ministry might be appropriate for you, please contact Pastor Reichmann at 377-6610. You need not be a member of First Immanuel or River of Life.
