Just Pensacola Investment Drive

The JUST Pensacola investment drive is underway until July 31st and is more important than ever. Here are some numbers:

1. St. Christopher's investment goal is $15,000. Last year, 34 St. C's network members invested $10,054 collectively, which is amazing! But we have more than 34 network members! If each person invests what they can, we'll reach $15,000!

2. The budgeted projection for the total organization wide investment drive is $72,000. Right now only $22,304 has been invested.

3. At this point, JUST only has 8 months of operating funds left in the bank.

Education for Ministry

Enrollment will soon be open

Education for Ministry, affectionately known as EFM, is a program of the School of Theology, University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four year program.

Year One offers a study of the Hebrew Scripture (Old Testament).

Year Two offers a study of the New Testament.

Year Three offers a study of the history of the Christian Church.

Year Four offers a study of theology and ethics.

Students meet in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Henry Baggett Parish Hall. The program grants a certificate at the completion of the four years plus 18 Continuing Education Units each year. EFM offers an opportunity to discover how to respond to the call to Christian service. You will learn how to think theologically, deepen your faith and understanding of your Christian heritage. 

The curriculum was completely revamped in 2025. An online format and new textbooks were introduced last year. A new one-year program is also now offered called "Wide Angle Lens". Registration is open through early August.

St. Christopher's

Children's Chapel

In order to give our amazing Godly Play volunteers a rest, St. Christopher's Children's Ministries offers Children's Chapel during the 10:30 am service in July.  

WHO: Children's Chapel is designed for children who would normally attend Godly Play, including those who have just completed 5th grade. We also welcome parents, trusted adults, and youth who have aged out.  

WHEN: Children begin worship with their family in church. When the Gospel is being read, the children and our Chapel volunteers will meet the priest in the center aisle. Once the Gospel reading is complete, the children and adults will process out to the Van B. Davis Chapel for our own service. We will return in time for the Peace.

OUR GOAL: We are not trying to separate our kids from worship. We are actually working to prepare them for a lifetime of worship. During this sacred time, they are being introduced to the Doxology, our Creed, and a few other Episcopal traditions. Bp.George has written the service in language that is more comfortable for children.

Youth Confirmation Classes

Beginning August 23

Students in 7th through 12th grade are invited to attend Confirmation classes as we explore what it means to confirm your faith in the Episcopal Church.

Classes will run on Sundays from August 23 - October 4 at 9:20 am in the Youth House.
