New I-9 Form
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has introduced a new, user-friendly I-9 Form this week. But don't worry, you have time to transition! The previous Form I-9 may still be used until October 31, 2023. After that, you must switch to the new form to avoid penalties.
The new form even supports a remote document examination procedure, thanks to a new rule from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Plus, E-Verify users in good standing can continue electronic verifications from August 1, 2023.
