Florida, once a Spanish territory, was the path to the Americas for many Irish immigrants in the 1500s. By 1776, nearly 300,000 Irish nationals had emigrated to the American colonies and played a crucial role in America’s War for Independence.

They did it! These Cooper City residents are now better informed citizens. During their final class last week, they got a first look at the Real Time Crime Center and Fire Station 28.
Anna Lowry posted, "I learned so much of our wonderful community and how it runs on a daily basis from various positions to how our water is pulled and filtered before it’s pushed through our water pipes."

City Commission approved Resolution 23-3, supporting the 2023 JCC Maccabi Games & Access. The games will be hosted by the David Posnack JCC, and will take place August 6 through 11 at various locations in Broward County, including the Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex.

The 21st Annual Water Matters Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Tree Tops Park in Davie. There will be interactive educational displays and booths, tree giveaway for Broward residents, food trucks, children’s activities and more. More than 40 educational exhibits and booths will be on display to help residents learn about water conservation techniques, smart irrigation, native landscaping, and what role they play in protecting and conserving our water supplies.

Utility Project Updates
(January 2023).
The new AT&T neighborhood fiber upgrade project began on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Rock Creek.
FPL will continue the three-year hardening plan. Field crews will be working throughout Cooper City, replacing wood poles with concrete or steel poles to make the system stronger and replacing smaller distribution lines with larger wire.

Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW) in Cooper City

FLOW services include license and I.D. credentialing services, renew a vehicle registration, emergency contact information registration, and purchase a specialty license plate. However, no written or driving tests are given from mobile units.

See a streetlight out or flickering, pothole, graffiti or beehive, report it through SeeClickFix, an online web application that allows any individual to report non-emergency issues on a map for everyone to see.
The SeeClickFix works as a request and work management system to get the job done.
