Cooper City Elementary Third Graders Present Environmental Projects
|
We had the pleasure of welcoming Miss Rodgers' third grade class from Cooper City Elementary School this week, as students presented multiple environmental projects.
With Mayor Greg Ross and City Manager Joseph Napoli were in attendance, the students presented ideas on ways to improve animal crossings, improve middle school drop-off, curb littering, create a homeless food pantry, and how to create an Autism Awareness Family Fun Day. Kudos to our young minds for all of the innovative ideas!

Safety Tips for Celebrating Safely During the Holiday Season
|
The holiday season is a time to rejoice. During this special time of year, we become distracted and become vulnerable to theft and other holiday crashers.
Follow some of these safety tips:
- Avoid overloading electrical outlets, which can overheat and cause a fire.
- Never leave an open flame unattended.
- Use caution anytime there is a stranger at your door.
- Do not hide spare keys in mailboxes, planters or under doormats.
- Never leave cooking food on the stove unattended.
- Do not advertise expensive gifts by placing exposed empty boxes out for garbage collection. Break down the boxes and place inside bin.

Cooper City Museum Keeps Our History Alive!
|
#TBT: As you prepare your holiday cards and photos online, remember how the photo process used to be.
Pre-digital age, photos were taken with cameras that captured images on film. You had to take the film to a film developer, like the one shown, to have prints made from the processed film. You had to wait sometimes a week for those photos.
Share your memorable photographs and stories with us to help us keep our history alive. If you have any questions, please call 954-434-4300 ext. 263 or email community@coopercityfl.org
