Looking to Adopt a Pet?

Adorable Penny is a 3-year-old Labrador Mix who was evacuated from a shelter in Martin County before Hurricane Helene hit the area. She had been waiting for someone to adopt her for several months prior to being brought to the Humane Society of Broward County. When she first arrived, she was very shy and had to be carried into the building. Now she is getting more comfortable and is a delight to be with. Volunteers who have worked with her say she loves treats and already knows "sit" and "down" commands. She gets excited to see other dogs, so a meet-and-greet would be recommended. Penny loves to run and play and will be a wonderful addition for a dog-loving family. Oh, and she enjoys car rides.

Visit the Humane Society of Broward County's website.
