Congratulations to our April 2023 Yard of the Month winner, Rosana Solis, who resides within Commissioner Lisa Mallozzi’s district. Every month a home is selected in a commission district that meets and exemplifies the Yard of the Month criteria. Congratulations to the winner, and thank you for helping to make Cooper City "Someplace Special." Winners receive a $50 gift certificate from Florida Nursery Mart.

TextMyGov will Soon Replace SeeClickFix

What is TextMyGov? It is a new way to connect with the City. You can skip making a phone call and use your mobile phone’s text messaging service to find information and report issues on the go.
Get answers by searching keywords anytime. Once we launch TextMyGov at the end of this month, you can skip making a phone call and use your mobile phone’s text messaging service to find information on the go. You will begin by texting "hi" at 954-210-5050. Then you will type a keyword to get answers. Some keywords include permits, trash, code, etc.

Meet Jasper, an American Staffordshire terrier mix. He's a big, goofy dog who has a lot of spirit. He needs an active owner who will play with him. He also enjoys playing with other dogs. Thanks to Dolly's Dream, Jasper's adoption fee is sponsored. You can meet him at the Humane Society of Broward.

Scholarship Opportunities - Deadline Monday, April 17

The deadline for the Cooper City's Academic Scholarship Program is quickly approaching. Applications will be accepted until Monday, April 17. The City and Waste Management established this program for Cooper City students, pursuing educational paths supporting government and civic endeavors.

Florida Mobile Mammography, May 16
|
Mobile mammograms will be available at the Community Center on Tuesday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for women 40+ or between 35-39 if baseline mammogram.

We will celebrate Autism Awareness Day on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. until noon at BSO Fire Station 28,10550 Stirling Road. Registration is now open for this year's Mother's Day Tea. It will take place on Saturday, May 13 at Memorial Park. Cooper City residents are invited to join us to celebrate a very important date with sweet treats, activities, and much more. This year's theme is Alice in Wonderland.

Utility Project Updates

FPL will continue the three-year hardening plan. Field crews will be working throughout Cooper City, replacing wood poles with concrete or steel poles to make the system stronger and replacing smaller distribution lines with larger wire.

FLOW services include license and I.D. credentialing services, renew a vehicle registration, emergency contact information registration, and purchase a specialty license plate. However, no written or driving tests are given from mobile units.
