The News & Notes You Need to Know About

Commission Meeting Recap

The City Commission held a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 PM at City Hall located at 9090 SW 50th Place. If you missed the meeting, please click on the link below to read a recap.

City Code Updates

As we roll out a registration process, we would like to help residents who own a boat, recreational vehicle (RV), or commercial vehicle be aware of the requirements outlined in City Code Section 25-10.

These regulations are in place to help maintain neighborhood safety and appearance, particularly when these vehicles are stored on residential properties. In certain cases, such as when a boat, RV, or commercial vehicle extends above a six-foot privacy fence, registration with the City is required on an annual basis. Registration can be completed online. Please note, new users will need to create an account when visiting the registration portal.

Our Code Enforcement team is available to assist residents through the process and answer any questions by calling 954-432-9000, Option #3.

The City of Cooper City and the BSO Cooper City Police District are committed to ensuring the safety of all those who utilize our sidewalks and roadways.

With the increasing popularity of electric bicycles and electric scooters, it is important that residents and visitors are aware of the laws, regulations, and responsibilities associated with the safe operation of electric devices such as e-bikes and e-scooters.

Proposed Development Project

Within the Town of Davie - Bordering Cooper City

During the Cooper City Commission Regular Meeting on April 14, 2026, the Commission reviewed a presentation provided to the Town of Davie regarding a proposed development project known as "Prestige Stirling Townhomes." The proposed project would be located on the northwest corner of Stirling Road and Southwest 106th Avenue, consisting of a new multi-family residential community comprised of 24 townhome units.

Additionally, a notice has been mailed to surrounding properties. The notice outlined a Public Participation Opportunity, inviting residents to review the project and give their input prior to any formal public meetings or hearings by the Town of Davie.

The Commission is urging Cooper City residents to make their voices heard throughout the public participation process.
