Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Join Us at the Public Workshop on October 10!

The Cooper City Parks and Recreation Department is starting the process of developing a master plan that will guide improvements in our sports complexes, passive parks and recreational facilities. We need your help to determine the need for enhancements in existing parks, facilities and programs, as well as identifying new facilities, trails, programs and recreational services.

Please join us at the upcoming workshop on October 10 at 6:30 PM at the Community Center to work together and develop a plan that will benefit Cooper City residents of all ages for generations to come!

Deadline Approaching! Register to Vote by October 7

The General Election will be held on November 5, 2024. The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is October 7. Register to vote.

If you would like to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, the deadline to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot is October 24, 2024 at 5 p.m. Request a Vote-by-Mail ballot.

Marking One Year Since October 7

The Jewish Federation of Broward County invites the Cooper City community to reflect, grieve, and honor the memories of those who perished during the October 7th attacks.

On Sunday, October 6, gatherers will also pray for the safe return of those who remain in captivity. The remembrance will take place on October 6, at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center's Orloff Auditorium.

Pre-registration is required.

Household Hazardous Waste Dropoff

The next opportunity for Cooper City residents to drop off household hazardous waste at Wheelabrator is Saturday, October 12.

Bring your ghouls and goblins down to Cooper City’s BOO-Per City Halloween extravaganza! This event will feature a trunk-or-treat from local businesses along with music and other fun-filled activities.

Halloween Home Decorating Contest

Entries are now being accepted at the Community Center and Pool and Tennis Center. Deadline to submit entries is October 25th.

Trick-or-Treat Shop to Shop

October 26 at 10 AM

Countryside Shops - 5524 Flamingo Road

Costume contests will take place at 10:30, 11 & 11:30 AM. All ages can participate.

Save the Date for Eat to the Beat!

"Bruja" will be the featured band when our concert series returns to Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex on Friday, November 1.

Home Watch Program

Did you know the Broward Sheriff's Office Cooper City District has a free Home Watch Program?

With this program, a deputy will check your home regularly while you are away. An exterior check of your home will be conducted to make sure there have been no unlawful entries and that no other obvious problems have occurred outside of your home. To sign up for this FREE service, please fill out the Home Watch form and visit the BSO Cooper City District Office (10580 Stirling Rd.) to complete registration.

My Safe Florida Home

The My Safe Florida Home Program offers eligible home owners the opportunity to make an application for a wind mitigation home inspection free of charge by the State.

Fingerprinting Services

The BSO Cooper City District is now providing complimentary fingerprinting services to Cooper City residents and business owners. Fingerprinting is available by appointment only on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.

What to Do If 911 Does Not Answer:

If a Cooper City resident calls 911 and receives no answer, there's no need to panic. You can call the BSO Cooper City station directly at 954-435-2000. It's worth noting that Cooper City's BSO station is the only BSO district to have a staffed lobby 24/7, 365 days a year.
