Parks and Recreation Master Plan Join Us at the Workshop on October 10!

The Cooper City Parks and Recreation Department is starting the process of developing a master plan that will guide improvements in our sports complexes, passive parks and recreational facilities. We need your help to determine the need for enhancements in existing parks, facilities and programs, as well as identifying new facilities, trails, programs and recreational services.


Please join us at the upcoming workshop on October 10 at 6:30 PM at the Community Center to work together and develop a plan that will benefit Cooper City residents of all ages for generations to come!

Pickleball Courts Reopen on September 20 at 4 PM

The pickleball courts at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex reopen on September 20 at 4 PM following resurfacing. We thank the community for your patience as we worked to restore the courts to optimal condition.

Touch-A-Truck Recap!

Families and friends gathered at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex on September 14, 2024 to get up close with multiple types of vehicles.


From heavy equipment to big trucks and from public safety vehicles to video games, the event had something for everyone. The first hour of the event was also sensory friendly providing a welcoming space for all members of our community.

The Deadline to Register to Vote in the General Election is October 7

The General Election will be held on November 5, 2024. The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is October 7. Register to vote.


If you would like to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, the deadline to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot is October 24, 2024 at 5 p.m. Request a Vote-by-Mail ballot.

Marking One Year Since October 7

The Jewish Federation of Broward County invites the Cooper City community to reflect, grieve, and honor the memories of those who perished during the October 7th attacks.


On Sunday, October 6, gatherers will also pray for the safe return of those who remain in captivity. The remembrance will take place on October 6, at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center's Orloff Auditorium.

Tree and Plant Care Workshop

Tree and Plant Care Workshop this Saturday City Hall - September 28 | 8 AM - 2:30 PM


The Green Advisory Board invites you to a workshop focused on helping Cooper City residents cultivate landscaping that brings native plants to the forefront, while also being pollinator-friendly.


Refreshments and lunch will be provided, but guests must RSVP to save a spot.

Are You a High School Student in Need of Volunteer Hours, or Know Someone Who Does?


The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Student Assistant Volunteer Program for Cooper City residents. 


High School students can earn volunteer service hours through our Student Assistant Volunteer (SAV) Program. Volunteers can assist staff during Aftercare, Kids Day Off, Winter and Spring Break Camp, and the Parks and Recreation Department's special events.

Step into a Fitness Routine


The Cooper City Fitness Center is located at the Pool and Tennis Center located at 11600 Stonebridge Parkway within the Rock Creek community. An individual annual gym membership starts at only $85.60 for seniors (age 62+). An individual annual membership for Cooper City residents, age 14-61, is $139.10.

Home Watch Program


Did you know the Broward Sheriff's Office Cooper City District has a free Home Watch Program?


With this program, a deputy will check your home regularly while you are away. An exterior check of your home will be conducted to make sure there have been no unlawful entries and that no other obvious problems have occurred outside of your home. To sign up for this FREE service, please fill out the Home Watch form and visit the BSO Cooper City District Office (10580 Stirling Rd.) to complete registration.

My Safe Florida Home


The My Safe Florida Home Program offers eligible home owners the opportunity to make an application for a wind mitigation home inspection free of charge by the State.

Fingerprinting Services


The BSO Cooper City District is now providing complimentary fingerprinting services to Cooper City residents and business owners. Fingerprinting is available by appointment only on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.

Passport appointments every 15 minutes at City Hall.

What to Do If 911 Does Not Answer:


If a Cooper City resident calls 911 and receives no answer, there's no need to panic. You can call the BSO Cooper City station directly at 954-435-2000. It's worth noting that Cooper City's BSO station is the only BSO district to have a staffed lobby 24/7, 365 days a year.
