The News & Notes You Need to Know About

🎇 Happy 4th of July! 🎆

The Cooper City Commission and staff wish you a happy and safe Independence Day!


City Hall and the Community Center will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of the holiday. The Pool and Tennis Center will be open on July 4 from 8 AM to 4 PM. The Community Pool will be open from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Utilities After-Hours Emergency Number

Starting July 7, 2025, urgent issues such as water main breaks, sewer backups, major water leaks, road obstructions or downed trees, occurring outside of normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), or during weekends and holidays, should be reported by calling the BSO Cooper City (non-police and fire) emergency line at 954-764-4357. A dispatcher will ensure appropriate City personnel are alerted and dispatched.

Water Quality Report is Now Available in English & Spanish


Cooper City is proud to release our 2024 Water Quality Report, reaffirming our commitment to delivering clean, safe and reliable drinking water to every home and business across the city.

The Consumer Confidence Report outlines the City’s continued success in meeting, and exceeding, all federal, state and local water quality standards.

Before and Aftercare Programs

Registration Opens Thursday, July 10th

Our Parks and Recreation Department offers Before and Aftercare Programs for elementary and Pioneer Middle School students. The programs will consist of recreation activities, homework assistance, and more! The programs will operate on school days, Monday through Friday, and will only be available on Broward County School days.

Summer Fun & Savings

The South Florida Adventure Pass offers unlimited summer admission to four of South Florida’s attractions: Butterfly World, Flamingo Gardens, Sawgrass Recreation Park, and the Museum of Discovery and Science.

A sign of excitement! We are celebrating Parks and Recreation Month Month and looking forward to a big upgrade at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex, coming this winter. The playground at the sports complex will be getting a total makeover.

Summer programs include Rummikub at the Community Center on Tuesdays at 12 PM and Social Pinochle every Tuesday and Thursday at the Community Center from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Explore love, marriage and relationships in this portrait of three couples who occupy Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. Visitors from Mamaroneck, a middle-aged married couple tries to rekindle their dying spark. Visitor from Hollywood, a film producer invites his childhood sweetheart to a hotel for romance. Visitor from Forest Hills, a bride has locked herself in the bathroom on her wedding day, with her parents desperate to get her out. The original Broadway production garnered three Tony nominations, winning Best Direction of a Play. The show is comprised of three one-acts set in the Plaza Hotel.

The Cooper City Fitness Center is located at 11600 Stonebridge Parkway within the Rock Creek community. An individual annual gym membership starts at only $85.60 for seniors (age 62+). An individual annual membership for Cooper City residents, age 15-61, is $139.10.

Vacation Home Watch Program


Did you know the Broward Sheriff's Office Cooper City District has a free Home Watch Program?


With this program, a deputy will check your home regularly while you are away. An exterior check of your home will be conducted to make sure there have been no unlawful entries and that no other obvious problems have occurred outside of your home. To sign up for this FREE service, please sign up online.

My Safe Florida Home


The My Safe Florida Home Program offers eligible home owners the opportunity to make an application for a wind mitigation home inspection free of charge by the State.

Fingerprinting Services


The BSO Cooper City District is now providing complimentary fingerprinting services to Cooper City residents and business owners. Fingerprinting is available by appointment only on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.

What to Do If 911 Does Not Answer:


If a Cooper City resident calls 911 and receives no answer, there's no need to panic. You can call the BSO Cooper City station directly at 954-435-2000. It's worth noting that Cooper City's BSO station is the only BSO district to have a staffed lobby 24/7, 365 days a year.
