City Commission Meeting Recap

The City Commission gathered for a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, January 14th. Click the button below for a recap of the meeting. The next City Commission Regular Meeting is scheduled for January 28th.

City Commission Meeting Recap

During the January 14th meeting, the City Commission approved the creation of a Charter Review Board. If you are a Cooper City resident and interested in serving on this board, please complete and submit a Citizens Resource Sheet.

During Tuesday's City Commission Meeting, the wonderful members of our City's Green Advisory Board were recognized. This group of volunteers has been instrumental in helping our community achieve the designation of Tree City USA for 42 years, while also helping us achieve the National Wildlife Federation's designation of Community Wildlife Habitat. These are just a couple accomplishments that have come with also submitting their "Someplace Green" sustainability plan in 2022.

Thank you to all members of the Green Advisory Board!

Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Cooper City’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan is in full development and your input is critical to this effort.

An online survey is now available to help residents share what improvements they want to see at parks and recreational facilities. Additionally, feedback will help improve our programs and where priorities should be placed.

Field Maintenance in Progress

At Cooper City’s Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex, we understand the importance of maintaining a high-quality facility for our residents and visitors. Recently, our multipurpose fields have undergone a maintenance process designed to address uneven playing surfaces. While the current conditions may not be ideal, we want to assure the community that these efforts are part of a long-term improvement plan aimed at creating a safer, more enjoyable experience for athletes and visitors.
