From Our Bishop:  A Season of Prayer and Listening

In late September Bishop Susan will hold a series of listening sessions around the diocese to hear the hopes, dreams, and visions of the people in our church for the next few years. All sessions will take place from
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The locations and dates closest to Grace are:
  • Monday, September 23: St. Bartholomew's, Poway
  • Thursday, September 26: All Saints', Vista
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bishop Susan has also called the diocese to a nine-day Season of Prayer (a novena), lasting from September 14 to September 22, as we ask for God's guidance in discerning our vision and mission. A prayer guide with scriptures, prayers, and discussion questions for each day during the nine-day period has been provided; it is appropriate for individual or group devotions.

Grace is exploring starting a chapter of
The Daughters of the King.  If you are interested, please contact Cynde Durnford-Branecki at cyndurnford@att.net .

Weekly Eucharist and Bible Study
Wednesdays
Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. | Bible Study at 10:00 a.m.

We are currently studying the parables of Jesus.

Every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. a small and faithful group gathers for weekly Eucharist.  At these services, we learn about our ancestors in the faith (using the saints' day calendar from A Great Cloud of Witnesses ) and we pray for all those on our parish prayer list by name.

After the service (beginning at about 10:00 a.m.) we study scripture.
It is a free-wheeling sort of Bible study, with lots of time for questions and discussion. We talk about how the scripture applies to our daily lives. Please join us!
Remember:
Our Food Drive is Ongoing!

Please bring canned goods and non-perishables to Sunday services and leave them in the basket at the door. They will be blessed at the offering and passed on to those in need in our community.
