Mass, Scale & Character Report Comment Deadline Extended
1) The deadline has been extended to April 29 for submitting comments regarding  the draft report published by our  Ad Hoc Committee on Mass, Scale and Character .

You are invited to review the report, available on the  Committee's webpage:

Saturday!  Green Venice Expo 2.0!  Rain or Shine!

Sponsored by WHOLE FOODS MARKET of Venice and in partnership with Surfrider Foundation, this day-long gathering on green sustainability will feature exhibitors and organizations dedicated to Mother Earth.

Strategies, speakers and demonstrations on how to keep Venice green will be the emphasis of this solutions-based conclave of green sustainability and eco-preservation.

Helicopters Circling:  President Obama Next Door
From Santa Monica Airport's Operations Desk:

As you may know, the President will be visiting Santa Monica today and tomorrow.  In preparation for this visit, the  President's entourage will be conducting military helicopter flights over Santa Monica airspace. 

 Although we were not provided specific dates and times of when these helicopter flights will take place; we wanted to notify residents in case they observe or hear military helicopter activity in the area.

The Budget and Finance Committee oversees and administers all VNC financial matters, including the system of financial accountability as required by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the City of Los Angeles.

Mon., Apr. 11:  Administrative Committee
The Administrative Committee sets the agendas for Board and Town Hall meetings.  
The Administrative Committee conducts its business by reviewing and prioritizing agenda requests for Board action (motion or letter) or announcements submitted by Venice Stakeholders, governmental entities and other interested individuals and organizations. 

The Administrative Committee has the discretion to postpone an agenda request , refer it to a specific VNC Committee for review and recommendation, treat it as an announcement or consider and resolve it as a non-Board administrative matter.

After the recent community meeting organized to address concerns about Big Blue Bus route changes, the organization
