Career Compass
A Success Story
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, employment situations for many people were affected. At the beginning of March, Rachael was hired on at Value Village in Leamington. Just a couple of days into her orientation, everything went into lockdown and the work opportunity was on hold.

In September, the opportunity to return to Value Village was presented. With some job coaching provided by Career Compass, Rachael is now working independently and a proud member of the Value Village staff team!

Rachael is now responsible for helping to keep employees and customers safe by ensuring all high-touch surfaces are sanitized. In between sanitizing, Rachael works with the front-end team to bring back returns, help customers, and ensure the items for sale stay organized.

Great work Rachael, and thank you to Value Village in Leamington for being an inclusive employer!
