Summer is here and it’s time to get outdoors! The pandemic has left us all yearning for a return to the normal, fun, summertime activities that we’ve missed so much for the past couple of years. As the world opens up again with festivals, concerts, and recreational activities back in full swing, there is also greater opportunity to get our children socializing together again. For families and caregivers supporting individuals with special needs, playdates, when carefully planned, can provide fun and rejuvenating outdoor time as well as opportunities for social connections with peers.
The links below will provide you with useful tips for recreational activities and playdates that celebrate your child’s abilities.
We look forward to continuing to provide you with helpful information to enhance your summer fun!
