Earth Day, observed annually on April 22, is a momentous occasion that invites us to reflect on our relationship with the environment. It’s a day to appreciate the beauty of our planet, recognize the challenges it faces, and take meaningful actions to protect it. Some meaningful ways to celebrate Earth Day include planting trees, hosting eco-friendly picnics, participating in Earth Day community events, and embarking on cycling adventures. Sunshine and Smiles: A Journey to the Magic Kingdom | |
Nicole and Sydney recently traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for five days of fun in the sun. They visited all four Disney World parks, enjoyed many accessible rides, had up-close personal interactions with many characters and made memories that will last a lifetime. Sydney was also able to spend quality time with her sister and family while there. This was a trip they will not soon forget. | |
Tim and Craig enjoyed a day of shopping and lunch at Devonshire Mall. After lunch, they unexpectedly crossed paths with the MDMotivator himself, Zachary Dereniowski! They were able to have a friendly chat and got to take a picture with the social media personality. | |

The solar eclipse may have blocked the sun’s light and heat, but April days have provided us with the long-awaited brilliant sun, rising temperatures, and, of course, much-needed spring showers.
Clearing away the winter debris, we can marvel at the many sights and sounds of spring, to be found everywhere. Soon, our days will be spent outdoors. Why not walk around your neighborhood and have your family members identify signs of spring? There are so many sights, sounds, and smells! Walking is only one of the ways to get around. Some of us will take to biking or scootering. But wait! There are others who will explore in their motorized wheelchairs or be assisted in their chairs by their families or trusted support workers. There are many family-friendly spring activities planned for Windsor-Essex County. Be sure to check out:

The Anne Stafford Light Up the Future Bursary is open to all residents of Ontario aged 18 years and older who identify as having an intellectual disability, to help in their pursuit of an educational program or personal interest course or activity.
