Getting in the Holiday Spirit!
Last week, Art, Brenden and Lauri checked out some of the different holiday light displays in Windsor and Essex County! We hope you have a chance to check one (or a couple!) of them out over the holidays!
Everyone had a great time celebrating the season at the West Area Virtual Christmas party! Fun was had with some naughty and nice photo props, games, karaoke and more!
Celebrating Virtually!
Over 75 people joined a virtual Christmas party last week!

The party was sponsored by Enbridge, as part of their contribution to the River Lights Winter Festival in Amherstburg, as well as by the Town of Amherstburg.

It was the ninth year of the West Area Christmas party, but the second year it was held virtually. The party typically takes place in the warming house at Toddy Jones Park and usually includes pizza and other activities.

Participation in virtual supports started slowly when first offered in June 2020 with about eight to ten people per session but now there are sessions with 60-70 people online at once. We have presented upwards of 1,150 online sessions to date!

Sarah Van Grinsven, a tourism co-ordinator with the Town of Amherstburg, was one of the guests on the call, along with Mayor Aldo DiCarlo and Denise Heckbert from Enbridge.

Thank you to the River Town Times for providing us with the photos and story!

Handmade From The Heart
Among the most poignant, memorable and cherished of all gifts found under the Christmas tree are those made secretly by a loved one.

These could be gifts that were made BY you or FOR you.
During this festive season, take time to reflect on these treasures that were created with love and shared with joy.
May this holiday season bring you and your loved ones occasions that spark memories old and new!
Best wishes for a joyous holiday season.
