New Day has modernized our logo and added a tagline: New Day, Leaders of Today, Working Towards a Brighter Future. Thank you to Community Living Essex County for the support and help in coordinating the design of New Day's new logo.
New Day would like to thank everyone who participated in our Domino's Pizza fundraiser. This was a very successful fundraiser, generating over $1500 and will help New Day continue our self advocacy work. New Day has a lot of big plans next year, including celebrating our 20th anniversary. New Day would like to say a special thank you to all the participating Domino's locations and especially Dana from the Essex location for the great partnership and her support to New Day.

~** CONNECTING WITH OTHERS **~
|
|
Why are adult connections so important, now more than ever? COVID forced us into a three-year period marked by forced isolation. We as families re-adjusted our daily lives: home and work. Our homes became the centre of life each and every day. We created new models of support which often resulted in greater family isolation. We learned to do it all OURSELVES! We were amazed at how resilient and self-sufficient we had become.
BUT WAIT! COVID is still present, but our lives do not have the same restrictions. We do not need to remain isolated. Have we become too complacent? Are we still isolating ourselves and our family members with intellectual disabilities? Let’s re-engage with our communities one step at a time. Each week Ensemble is going to highlight parent/friend/ adult/youth activities that will provide you with opportunities to escape HOME ISOLATION and CONNECT with others in new circumstances. Lives of isolation benefit no one!
