Input Being Sought from Stakeholders As We Plan for the Future
Despite the pandemic, Community Living Essex County is looking forward and forging ahead with its strategic planning process. With the guidance of an experienced consultant and a steering committee made up of a variety of stakeholders, we are undertaking the important process of planning for the next 3-5 years in order to best serve people with intellectual disabilities and their families. This week, the critical process of eliciting input from all stakeholder groups has begun.
Service recipients, parents and family members, community partners, employees, board members, and volunteers will all be invited to share their thoughts to help us form clear goals and priorities that will guide our work. This year is unique in that in-person focus groups and planning sessions will not be held, however virtual meetings, electronic surveys and interviews by phone will be taking place and individual preferences for participation will be accommodated. Our aim is to gather input from as many people as possible who engage with the agency in any capacity, whether as a donor, support worker, service recipient or parent.

Now is the time to share honest feedback, provide input regarding in-demand services and supports, give opinions about areas in which the agency should focus its attention and resources, and to have your voice heard. While we continue to face challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and we work together to keep each other safe and well, we can also look to the future - toward brighter days, reconnecting, and refocusing on growth, innovation and change. Let's use these most unusual circumstances to think outside the box, broaden the realm of possibilities and set the stage for an exciting 2021 and beyond.
