DISTRACTED DRIVING CHALLENGE

This year’s Distracted Driving Challenge was sponsored by the University of Memphis and the student chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. The competition requires student teams to develop and present a solution to the problem of distracted driving. East T-STEM Academy was represented by two outstanding student teams.

We are pleased to announce that East T-STEM won first and second place in the ITE Distracted Driving Challenge!

First Place – Olivia Ensor, Isa Crownover, Jac Carroll

Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Dr. Levi Watkins, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in the Tennessee State University Foundation by Dr. Annie Marie Garraway, Sister of Dr. Watkins, Jr. Select members of the Dr. Levi Watkins, Jr. Medical/ Dental Accelerated Pathway Program and Pre-med Society will be awarded a scholarship on a competitive basis.

If you know any black males who are high school seniors who want to become a medical doctor, have a 28 on the ACT and a 3.5 GPA, there is possibly a free ride for them at Tennessee State University. CLICK HERE for more information.
