This is a "Turkey Mold" Oyster plate. It derives its name from the shape of the reversed Oyster shells that give the look of the Turkey head, and the feathers around the outer wells. This five well Oyster plate is on a soft white background with deep to light blue ribbons. There is gold on the outer rim, as well as in the ribbons, and around the wells. The Turkey mold Oyster plate is always a popular collectors item! It is marked on the back with the store it was sold from, as well as the artist mark in gold. It appears to read Wilhelm & Garef on Broadway in NYC.
