Beginning in September
A ‘QR Code’ Option for Sunday Bulletin
Friends, in this Season of Creation, here’s an experiment: If you would like to
receive the bulletin each Sunday using your portable device – this will help save
both trees and money! We will post an image of a QR Code each week at the
two entrances to the Sanctuary which will direct your phone/device to an image
of our worship bulletin.
Certainly, if you are more comfortable with a paper bulletin, we will make copies
of these available as well. Do let us know if you prefer the QR Code so we can
print accurate numbers of bulletins. Thank you all for your feedback!

| Every spring and fall, billions of birds migrate through the US, mostly under the cover of darkness. This mass movement of birds must contend with a dramatically increasing but still largely unrecognized threat: light pollution. Light pollution harms birds, but you can help by turning off or dimming non-essential lighting from 11PM-6AM during critical migration periods. For the fall that means approximately August 15-November 30. Check out Lights Out Connecticut for more information. | |
Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music.
Psalm 98:1,4
It’s that wonderful time of year again! No, I don’t mean when the kids go back to school. Ok, maybe I mean that a little bit. But what I’m really excited about is that it’s time for choir to start up again! We will be meeting for our first rehearsal of the season today, Thursday, at 7pm. We’ll warm the voices up gently, catch up a little bit, and dive into some great music!
If you’ve been observing the choir and have wondered if it might be something you’d like to try, please do join us at rehearsal! You’ll be surprised by how easy it is to learn the music when you have seasoned choir singers around you. The whole learning process is user-friendly, and if you’re worried about your not-so-perfect voice “sticking out”, you’ll also see why we have professional singers in the choir to sing out and make you feel comfortable.
This Sunday, we’ll sing an easy-to-learn anthem and lead the hymns as always. Then the following week is our big “pull out all the stops” Confirmation Sunday with some great musical surprises. September is a great time to get involved in the Music Ministry at Trinity!
I’m looking forward to welcoming all the singers this week!

Anglican Prayer Bead Workshop
Saturday October 19 (10am-12:30pm)
Anglican Prayer Beads, also known as the Anglican Rosary, are a relatively recent innovation, developed by an Episcopal priest in Texas. His combination of the Eastern Orthodox prayer rope with the Roman Catholic rosary to create something distinctly Anglican (there are hundreds of ways to pray with the beads!) has been popular from the very start.
On October 19th, we will be offering a workshop introducing Anglican prayer beads. Participants will learn about their history and symbolism, make their own beads (cost $25), and find out how to pray with them.
Registration is limited and required. Below you will see the bead and cross options available to you. You must contact Cindy Anderau to register and make your selection. The deadline to register is Oct 6. Lunch will be provided.
Please click here to view options for Beads and Cross
