We spent the past two weeks doing small repairs and prepping to allow guests to safely use the two showers and the washer and dryer in the basement of the Tom Fredenburg House. Guests can access these services during our Resource Center operating hours (9-11AM Monday/Wednesday/Friday).
Guests are able to sign up in advance for designated time slots.
To be able to enter the building for showers and/or laundry, guests must have their temperature taken (we were able to purchase a no-contact infrared thermometer thanks to generous donations!) and be asked five health screening questions as recommended by Governor Sununu's Stay At Home 2.0 Universal Guidelines.
Masks must be worn when inside the building at all times (except when in the showers).
CCEH staff will be in the area, monitoring activities, at all times.
Laundry will be taken out of backpacks/bags outside the building and put into a laundry basket for transport into the building.
Showers will be sprayed down and cleaned in between showers.
The water's HOT and the water pressure is STRONG! More guests can get showers thanks to having two shower stalls (versus just one upstairs in the Resource Center).
To accommodate the Winter Shelter laundry, we had added a high-efficiency washer and dryer to the basement. We are using these now for guests to do their laundry, as they are much faster and more powerful.
ICYMI: We created a new registry of our Wish List items!
You can find our exact needs on our website at Donate Items. Or, go directly to our MyRegistry.com page. Of course, you can buy these items from your favorite stores, and don't have to buy directly from our registry. You are able to sort this registry and view the specific "COVID-19 Needs". We plan to keep this registry up-to-date with the latest requests. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all that's been donated so far! It's been amazing!
