This weekend, a team from St. Michael's will be traveling to Clyde, North Carolina, to assist with relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. This team includes the Rector, William Mace, Allen Goehring, Brett Mearkle, Gordon Wilson, and Kent Keller. They are expected to return on Sunday afternoon.
Please read the following update on our response to Hurricane Helene from Jean and Johnny Corbett:
St. Michael’s, you are a generous and caring community. Thank you for reaching out to our North Carolina neighbors. They have received relief supplies in abundance and now they need time to distribute to those in dire need.
Thank you for sharing flood snd health buckets, baby items, coats, blankets and much more. We had a fantastic sort snd pack team. William Mace has been organizing delivery of the truck loads of donations.
But, we have been asked to take a break in collecting supplies. We will not be receiving relief supplies for North Carolina at this time.
Thank you and God bless St. Michael’s.
