Dear St. Michaelites and Friends:
Last Car in the lot…
That in a nutshell is our own Trish McGuinn, who for the last six years has been our Director of Communications. Alas, Trish will be retiring in June of 2024 and leaves very, very large shoes to fill. As I look at the various roles of staff members here at St. Michael’s Church, it’s hard to find another position requiring as much attention to detail, along with a weekly requirement for so much output! As just part of her ministry, Trish
designs and produces three sets of over 700 bulletins every single week, each set being very different from another. That alone would keep her car in the parking lot after hours, but there are so many other ministries that Trish is engaged in, too many to name! Somehow though, she always finds time for her weekly Bible Study here on campus. So please join me in giving Trish an overwhelming blessing of gratitude for her legacy
ministry at St. Michael’s Church. We will honor Trish at our annual meeting in May!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ...
Six years has gone by so very fast! The biggest thing I learned in that time is that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I have learned software & A/V programs, wrestled with printers and computers, and dove into liturgy and the church calendar. New tricks are great, but the best part of working here was getting to know so many of you so much better. I will cherish my relationships with fellow staff members and St. Michaelites, new and old, and hope to share a beverage or a nibble with you after I leave. I will most likely drop out of sight for a bit this summer, but I will return, and look forward to sitting in a pew and worshipping with my St Michael's family.
