Introduction

to Prayer Class

This class will be led by the Rev. Bill Hyer and the Rev. Dr. Martha Toney in the Kinloch Room.

"Jesus teaches us that prayer and communion is the foundation of the growth and joy of everyone who believes. To pray is that action that allows Jesus to not only come into our hearts, but also the results of Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts. Prayer is the food whereby we are nourished and replenished for all God has planned for us as followers of Jesus. This class is an introduction to Intercessory Prayer using tools taught by The College of Prayer. It's aim is to help those who wish to reconnect with the fundamental aspects of a dynamic Christian life that is enriched by the presence of Christ and to provide resources to deepen their relationship with the living God. All are welcome!

We will be using the book "LORD TEACH US TO PRAY" by Fred Hartley,III. Cost for book is $5.00 and will be given out on the first evening of class.

Questions or for more info email the Rev. Dr. Martha Toney at: martha@stmichaelschurch.net

"A picture is worth a thousand words." Beginning on September 10th we will offer this survey course of the Bible on Wednesday evenings. This course will be led by Charlie Baldwin, Chaplain (Maj. Gen.)USAF, Ret. and our Rector, Rev. Al Zadig, Jr.

Each lesson is a "picture" of the text. The first picture is "Genesis 1"; the second, "Genesis 2". Then, most pictures cover an entire book of the Bible, e.g., "Judges".

In the series of twenty pictures, we will cover the Old Testament between September and March, 2026.  The book for the course costs $57.50 for a 3-ring binder, or you may "download" the lessons for $25.00. This will take you through the Old Testament in 20 lessons. The church is offering scholarships to help pay for the material.
