That’s exactly what this Nov. 19 Food Fight event is about. Learn how to navigate hard political discussions and acknowledge changes in identity at the Thanksgiving table and everyday life.

It's FAFSA time. Yes, it's that time of year when college students go through something similar to income tax filing - filling out the forms for financial assistance. Help is available Nov. 19-21.

SUCCESSFUL OPEN MIC DEBUT
NEXT ONE PLANNED FOR NOV. 22
A crowd filled Jazzman's Cafe on Nov. 8 for the premiere of the CSU Open Mic Night. Several scheduled and "walk on" performers entertained the audience as the crowd interacted - and sang along with the musicians. The next and last Open Mic session for the Fall Semester will be Friday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m. in Jazzman's. Those interesting in sharing any artistic form of self-expression can register by visiting the CSU Open Mic website.

CONGRATS TO A TEAM MEMBER
MANAGING EDITOR IS GRAD OF YEAR
We here at the inSIDER this week recognize one of our own as inSIDER Managing Editor Cydney Coffey was recognized by the Association of College Unions International as Region V Graduate Student of the Year. The award presented at the annual Region V Conference recognizes graduate students for leadership and achievement. Region V ACUI includes student union members from Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba. Cyd is the graduate assistant for the CSU Communications Office. Her various duties include overseeing your weekly e-newsletter. You Rock, Cyd!



Cyd reacts to her Graduate of the Year Award presented Monday. The honor was announced at the annual Region V ACUI Conference over the weekend.
