The Men's Bible Study will not meet again until Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7 am.

We Welcome Eston Brinkley as the Guest Preacher for all three Worship Services on Sunday, December 28, and John Calarco as the Guest Worship Leader for the Contemporary Service.

Pledge Cards for 2015 are still available.  If you haven't already done so, please prayerfully consider filling one out.  Your support enables Wesleyan Chapel to offer hope and help in the name of Jesus Christ!

Contribution Statements for 2014 will be mailed out in early January.  If you are planning your year-end gifts and it would be helpful to you to receive a current report of your contributions year to date, please contact us and we can provide you a statement via email.  In accordance with IRS regulations, all charitable contributions for Tax Year 2014 must be postmarked or hand delivered to the church by midnight on Dec. 31.   Thank you!

From Andi:

"Be on alert for symptoms of inner Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to this virus and it is possible people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world." ~~ Anonymous

Giving glory to God for you, my church family! Your gifts of love, kindness, generosity and hospitality throughout the year continue to leave me overwhelmed with tears and a grateful heart. Blessings upon you and your family as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ!  We will read the traditional Christmas passage from Luke 2:1-20, at the 6 pm service this Wednesday and reflect on a meditation from Ken Gire.  Hope to see you at 4 pm and/or 6 pm!

Merry Christmas! Andi

We would like to take the students on a Mission Trip this summer. The Radius Group hosts a mission trip for a reasonable price.  They include food, lodging, and set up all the mission work for around $200. If you are interested, I have to register by 2-1-14 so please turn in your Deposit of $80 on 1-25-14. If needed, we can set up some fundraisers to help with the cost of the trip. For more information visit:  http://radiuscamps.com/#/radius-group/home (Florida trip July 13-17).

Also, I am setting up the meals for 2015.  Please email me if you would like to provide food or snacks for one of our meetings.

Thanks and I hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

K-5 ALIVE WINTER 2015

K-5 will kick off again on Wednesday January 7 and will conclude March 11. We learn about the life of Jesus leading up to Easter. Please join us and bring a friend!

Again and as always, thank you for sharing your child with us. It is such a blessing to watch them sing with such enthusiasm they can barely sit still, fill Lee Hall with laughter that just makes you smile when they play games, and act out the Bible story in a way that only they can. Your child makes this group special and unique (like a snowflake) so thank you.

Peace,

Cheryl

Please bring your children to Sunday School!

They'll love it!

The preschool class is for ages 3-preK (room 1), kindergarten-2nd grade (room 4), 3rd-5th grade (room 2). Sunday school is 9:45-10:40. All are invited to come, have fun, and learn in a fun and exciting class!  If anyone is interested in teaching please contact Cheryl Lee at 910-686-4041.
Forming a Bluegrass Band
Hello to all musicians in the Wesleyan Chapel community I am interested in forming a Bluegrass/Old Time/ Gospel/ Americana band which would practice regularly (weekly?) and perform occasionally.  I'm looking for fiddlers, banjo, guitar, upright bass and/ or mandolin players - basically anything acoustic.  We also need good vocalists who like tight harmonies and good fellowship .  We would play sacred and secular music.  Interested?  Sure would love to have you!  Please contact Mary Ruth Marshall.
