Trinity Episcopal Church

The Sunday's Bulletins and livestream links are near the bottom of the email!

An Invitation from the Rector:

At the beginning of this season, you were invited into the observance of a Holy Lent. Now I issue an invitation into the observance of a Holy Holy Week. Join us on Saturday morning for our preparation by helping to clean our property beginning at 9 AM and then to make Palm Crosses at 10 AM.  Palm/Passion Sunday will provide an opportunity to process from the front steps at 8 AM and from the parking lot at 10 AM, to wave our Palms as we journey into Jerusalem and to witness the Passion. But the story is not done, yet. Join us on Holy Monday outside and Holy Tuesday in St. Helens at 6 PM to walk the Stations of the Cross. Then, come for a Healing Service on the Labyrinth in St. Helens on "Spy Wednesday" at 6 PM.

Our Holy Triduum will be shared with our brothers and sisters at Bend UMC with our traditional Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist with footwashing and stripping of the altar at Trinity at 6 PM; the Proper Liturgy for Good Friday at Trinity at noon and a special Good Friday observance at Bend UMC at 7 PM; and the Great Easter Vigil with the First Fire, incense and bells on Holy Saturday at Trinity at 8 PM followed by a "Champagne, Cider, Chocolate and Cheese Feast." In addition, we invite you to help prepare our worship spaces for Easter on Holy Saturday at 9 AM with a brief Holy Saturday liturgy at the Columbarium at 10 AM. Then, join us on Easter Sunday to Celebrate the Resurrection at Trinity at 8 AM and at St. Helens at 10 AM followed by a festive Easter Coffee Hour and an Easter Egg Hunt at the Deschutes Historical Society Museum across the street at 11:30 AM. Thanks to our faithful music director, organist and choir, we will enjoy choral music at all of our Triduum and Easter Services. AND we will have the great joy of having youth serve as acolytes once again at our Easter Sunday services.

Let us join together and walk the Way to Jerusalem, the Cross and beyond the tomb into new life!

Shalom!

Elizabeth WJ+
