Afternoon Tea is Sunday Nov 24 at 11:15! We’re excited to have a special Children’s Tea Table this year. Upon arrival, we ask both adults and children to go directly to their assigned tables and be seated. Children will be served at their table and do not need to visit the buffet. Adults can enjoy tea at their tables while waiting for their table to be called to the buffet—no long lines! There will be plenty of food and a place set for you, so even if you forgot to sign up, please come and join us. We can’t wait to see you!

VISIT THE ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS GIVING TABLE on Sundays in Brooks Hall after each service throughout Advent to complete Giving Cards, make donations, ask ministry leads about their ministries, and pick up holiday cards to send to loved ones. Giving cards and holiday cards are available in the office during the week. Help us fund Trinity’s five sponsored ministries: Condega ministry, ERD, Family Kitchen, K.I.D.S. and Gifts for the Christ Child Safeway Food Cards.

Gifts for the Christ Child are due December 1!

SNOW SHOVELERS/BLOWERS NEEDED: It’s getting colder and that means snow is coming soon! We NEED snow shovelers to help clear our walkways and steps throughout snow season. We need two shovelers each day starting at 7 AM on Sundays and 8 AM on other days. Casey Murphy, our Sexton, will be one of the shovelers on weekdays. So, we need ONE more shoveler each weekday. And we need TWO shovelers on Saturdays and Sundays. Some of our usual crew have had to step down, so we hope some NEW, younger, more agile folks will join the crew. Christmas Tree Cutting ADVENT'ure

December 14th - 10 AM

Come join Trinity’s Family Ministries for an Advent tradition of cutting the Christmas trees to “spruce” up both worship spaces in Trinity and St. Helens.

Like last year, we will head up to the Deschutes National Forest to search for the perfect Christmas trees. Afterwards we plan to have a little picnic (weather permitting) complete with hot dogs and s’mores roasted over a portable fire pit.

• Meet at the church at 10AM and then caravan to the cutting site.

OUTREACH TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE COUNCIL ON AGING:

As part of our OUTREACH MINISTRIES, if you are interested in participating in any of the training session below, contact Donna Rae Benson, donza3@gmail.com or 530-408-5696. Note: Before the training, you will first need to fill out an application form, clear a background check, attend an orientation and receive some training. Donna will guide you.

Council on Aging - CoA 101 Training

Oct 1, 2-3 PM; Nov 13, 10-11 AM; Dec 3, 2-3 PM; Jan 15, 10-11 AM

Learn about the programs and services offered by the Council on Aging.

Community Connector Training, presented by the Peaceful Presence Project November 18, 1-3 PM. The Community Connector Program for Serious Illness Care is designed to decrease social isolation and increase support for Central Oregon residents living with or supporting someone with chronic or serious illness. CoA volunteers will learn the language of grief, including how to offer emotional care and practical assistance with sensitivity, no matter the type of illness or loss. Participants will gain advance care planning skills, active listening and psychosocial support skills, and resource connections to ensure friends and loved ones.

Moving Past Dementia Myths for Meaningful Connection November 19, 1 PM.

The Dementia Support Community’s training will cover the basics of what dementia is and isn’t, while also offering tips on how to create meaningful interactions with people who are living with dementia.

Family Service

Children are always welcome in Church: Children’s coloring bulletins and activity bags are available in the alcove near the organ.

Nursery: The nursery, located in the glass-front room in the back of our worship space, is available for younger children during whatever portion of the service that best serves the children and parents.

NOTE: The changing table is inside the nursery bathroom.

Godly Play: Parents are invited to drop off their School-aged Children at the Fireside Room prior to 10:00 AM. Need guidance, ask an usher. On first Sundays, Children will stay in Godly Play the entire service to have “the Feast”(a light snack). Parents are welcome to pick their children up during the Eucharist, if desired. Otherwise collect them after service.

Children’s Table at Coffee Hour: After the 10 AM service, during Coffee Hour in Brooks Hall, we have a Children’s Table or “an arts and craft zone” for children of all ages to enjoy a time of fun and fellowship.
