Celebrating 50 Seasons of Raider Football
On Saturday, October 25, ALL 1200-plus football alumni are invited to be recognized on the field before the Raiders play the Jesuit Blue Jays. For more details, click here

Rummel Raiders Night
Next Friday, October 17, '75 alum Ken Trahan will broadcast his Original Prep Football Report from Bear's Po Boys. On the show, Coach Jay Roth will be interviewed live. Make plans to come out that evening to show your

Career Information Night

Wednesday, November 19 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Come listen to local experts in Engineering and Biomedical Sciences discuss great career opportunities in southeast LA! Alumni, parents, and students are welcome to attend.

 

Keynote speakers are Dr. Brian Credo '77, Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Tulane  University School of Medicine and

Kim Jovanovich, P.E., Associate Dean of Engineering, University of New Orleans. For info, click here.

 

Dr. Tom Becker '74, principal at St. Edward the Confessor School, asked us to spread the word about two community events in their cafeteria this Sunday, October 12.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. they will have a blood drive through E.J. Hospital.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., they will sell chicken-sausage GUMBO for $10, with proceeds going to the American Heart Association.

LAST NIGHT - October 9- The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held in the Raider Room.  Pictures will be forthcoming.
THIS EVENING - Friday, October 10 - On the ARHS campus
2014 Return to Severn Pep Rally & Bonfire Promo

Return to Severn Pep Rally & Bonfire
 - 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sponsored by State Farm agent Nora Vaden Holmes 
Free hamburgers, hotdogs, pastalaya, and drinks 
- Plum St. Snowballs, Mark Twain's pizza, beer and wine will be available for purchase - bring your I.D.! 
- Activities for the kids: inflatables, rock climbing wall, video game trailer, face painting, and more
- The Rummel/Chapelle Band, the Chapelettes, and the Raider Cheerleaders will perform
- The Homecoming Court will be presented
- One lucky grammar school student will be chosen by raffle to help the queen and the football team captains light the bonfire
After the bonfire, the band, Weathered, will perform until 10 p.m.
Saturday, October 11 - Joe Yenni Stadium
Homecoming Tailgating begins at 4 p.m. in the south end zone- It's $5 "all-you-care-to-eat." - Feel free to bring a side dish to share!
- The Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced prior to the game
- The Homecoming Game vs. Shaw will kick off at 7 p.m. For information on game tickets, click here.
- The Raider Alumni Band will join the Raider Band
- The Raider Alumni Cheerleaders will also be performing with the Raider cheerleaders
- At halftime, the Homecoming Court will be escorted by alumni and presented on the field
- Following the game, tradition continues as the Rummel/Shaw Megaphone is presented to the winning team.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING EVENTS:
Tuesday, October 14 - Living Rosary in Raider gym - 9 a.m.
All are invited to participate in this annual production of the ARHS Campus Ministry team. Come pray the rosary with the Raiders.
Monday, October 20 - Raider Golf Classic - Still looking for volunteers! For info, check the Raider Golf Classic section below.
Thursday, October 23 - ARHS Open House - If you are interested in taking part in this important evening for prospective students and families, please reply to this email.
Saturday, October 25Raider Tailgating at Joe Yenni at 4 p.m. - Coach Jay Roth '81 has invited all Raider football alumni to gather in the south end zone at 6:15 p.m. to be introduced on the field prior to the game - Rummel Raiders vs. Jesuit Blue Jays at 7 p.m.

Don't forget: The Archbishop Rummel Genesian Players will only have 6 performances of their production, "Oliver"; opening night is Friday, November 7.  Champagne Night is Saturday, November 8. For all dates, performance times, and ticket prices, click here.
