Greetings!

Every challenge presents new opportunities, and this year certainly had its challenges! I think we all embody that sentiment, especially this year, and it's mirrored in our shared accomplishments. In the face of "unprecedented times," you linked arms with us to fund 14 different grants in cancer research and cancer care. I am so grateful to you and the difference you're making for cancer patients everywhere.

Our Founder Scott Hamilton often says "the only way to be truly great is to leave the world better." I cannot thank you enough for making the world better this year when we needed your kindness and generosity the most.

When our CARES Team gathered virtually last week to reflect on the year, Scott said something that moved me and I'd like to share it with you. He said, "the greatest gifts given are to those who will never know its origin." As Scott said, we will never know the lives we saved together by funding cancer research.

As this year draws to a close, I'm reflecting on what I am thankful for and looking ahead to what we will do in the year ahead. I hope you'll join me in thinking of the 1.8 million people diagnosed with cancer this year - because of your unwavering support and understanding of the importance of research, those 1.8 million people have a brighter future. We could not do this vital work for those living with cancer without your help.

It's not too late to make a difference this year! Make your gift by the end of Thursday, December 31st to take full advantage of 2020 tax deductions.

You can also make a recurring gift and provide much-needed support throughout the year as a Partner in CARES, funding innovative research that treats the cancer and spares the patient.

With gratitude,
Karri Morgan
