Preparation work on our next home at 506 Wye Street in Denton is well underway! The plumbing has been trenched, the foundation is soon to be poured, and we are almost ready to start building.

Due to the winter storm, "Walls Up" on this build has been postponed to Saturday, March 5. The bad weather has caused scheduling conflicts for the preparation work on this house. We are grateful for the flexibility, patience, and grace that has been shown to us throughout this process, especially from Interfaith Build partners and all our volunteers. We can't wait to finally get started on our 106th home on March 5!

“We are focused on bettering our community, and Habitat for Humanity is a great cause to get involved with,” PointBank President Ray David Jr. said. PointBank officials praised Habitat for Humanity for its unique housing development idea for southeast Denton, according to the press release.

The 8-acre Habitat Village in southeast Denton provides as many as 35 new affordable homes for families that need a place to call home.

We are turning 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton into a neighborhood with 35 affordable homes, called the “Habitat Village.” We are currently raising funds to establish the infrastructure of this property, and we have great news:

The Hoblitzelle Foundation has awarded Habitat for Humanity of Denton County a $50,000 matching grant for the Habitat Village!

This means that all donations given toward the Habitat Village will now be doubled up to $50,000! We have already raised $22,000 toward this goal and need your help to meet it. Please consider donating to the Habitat Village today and doubling your impact!
After several construction and weather delays, we are finally in the last stages of preparation before "Walls Up" on our 2021 Interfaith Build at 506 Wye Street in Denton on Saturday, March 5. Thank you to our Interfaith Partners for their support of this build and for their patience. We can't wait to get started on this home alongside the Crawford Family!
