This is Mid Wales: Winter Marketing Campaign
Hello MWT members,

This is a FREE of charge opportunity to get involved with our marketing campaign to promote the region and your business this Winter. The only investment from you is a short amount of time to send us your content.

We'd love you to get involved.

We appreciate some of you are closing over the Christmas period; please remember to update Guestlink with your availability/opening times. You can still get involved and send us your content if you are open in December and/or January/February.
What we're looking for
For an opportunity to feature in our social media, Show Me Wales blog, PR, and on the Visit Mid Wales website:

  • Tell us why visitors should come to you in Winter, specifically.
  • Send us your winter / festive images

Our Visit Mid Wales Brand Guidelines help explain the kind of images we're looking for. If in doubt, send them to us. Please ensure you have permission to share them if you have not taken them yourself.
Examples
1) Accommodation (all types) that is open and available for winter 21/22 across Mid Wales. They must be good for winter months - and let us know why.
  • Does your business have wood burners/open fires?
  • Hot tubs?
  • Festive restaurant menus
  • Local-made blankets?
  • Well-equipped kitchens?
  • Wellies and coats to borrow?
  • Thick, insulated walls? Eco-heating?
  • Free hot drinks?
  • Lots of games/books/indoor distractions?
  • Christmas special offers

Also let us know if the surrounding area is especially good for winter breaks. Does it offer ...
  • Bracing walks?
  • Festive attractions?
  • Interesting indoor sites?
  • Warming pubs?
  • Amazing restaurants?
  • Winter wildlife spectacles?
  • Let us know any interesting specifics

2) Towns/Attractions/Activities/Events - are you running any Santa specials, wreath making workshops, festive afternoon teas?

You can upload your events yourself via Guestlink, or send them to us.

3) Restaurants / Cafes / Inns - send us your Christmas menus

4) Festive products for sale - in your shops/attractions

5) Gift vouchers, gifts that can be purchased online

If you sell local produce or have the facility to provide gift vouchers for overnight stays, places to eat, activities, attractions, experiences - whatever it might be, let us know.

Deadline: 30th November 2021, but it would help if you can send your content ASAP.
