Springs Recovery Connection Mission
To strengthen the recovery community through peer and family support, public education and advocacy.
"This is not how my family's story will end."
We have the power to say, "This is not how my family's story will end."
Over the next week, Springs Recovery Connection honors Mothers in Recovery and how one family member can change the trajectory of addiction in their family. Each day we will share stories on Facebook from mothers who are in recovery.
Our Mothers In Recovery fundraiser is intended to support our programs that bring awareness and hope to families still suffering the pains of addiction. When families hit bottom, we want to be there with open arms.
Your contribution makes an impact. Whether you donate $20, $50 or even $500, your donation helps Springs Recovery Connection support families on this journey.
Will you help support families in recovery?
Patients with Addiction Need Treatment - Not Stigma
Junkie. Stoner. Crackhead. We’ve all heard the terms, used to describe those individuals who struggle with drug addiction. These words are dismissive and disdainful; they reflect a moral judgment that is a relic of a bygone era when our understanding of addiction was limited, when many thought that addiction was some sort of moral failing and should be a source of shame. We need to change the national discussion.

AUD spells Alcohol Use Disorder. What you need to know.
Problem drinking that becomes severe is given the medical diagnosis of “alcohol use disorder” or AUD. AUD is a chronic relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive alcohol use, loss of control over alcohol intake, and a negative emotional state when not using. An estimated 15 million people in the United States have AUD. Approximately 5.8 percent or 14.4 million adults in the United States ages 18 and older had AUD in 2018.
