THE 2020-2021 GAVILAN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN!

Step One:
Complete and *SUBMIT* the General Application. You can edit or update your application up until 11:59 pm on the stated scholarship deadlines.  Gavilan Scholarship deadline to apply is Sunday, April 5 th .
 
Step Two: 
After submitting the General Application, you will be presented with a list of "Recommended scholarship opportunities.” These scholarships may require additional information that is not included in the questions on the General Application. You are encouraged to click on each scholarship name to review the criteria. We encourage you to apply for all scholarships where you meet the additional requirements. (There are some scholarship opportunities you do not have to apply to but will be automatically matched to after you complete your General Application.)

Step Three:
Look through the listing of external scholarships to see if you meet their criteria and apply! Take note: these scholarships have varying deadlines.
We encourage all students to apply for scholarships through the Gavilan College Scholarship Program. Scholarships are awarded for many reasons including major, financial need, program completion and academic performance. You must apply to be considered, so PLEASE APPLY!

Gavilan College is having a poster contest! Get out your art supplies, put on your creative hats, and design a poster of what “Healthy Relationships” means to you!

WIN A GIFT CARD TO AMAZON

1 ST Place: $100, 2 nd Place: $75, 3 rd Place: $50

Include your name and contact information on the back of your poster!
Winners will be contacted by March 13 th
All posters will be displayed in the Student Center

DEADLINE to submit: February 28th in the ASGC Office
The Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is responsible for reviewing Measure X expenditures, with quarterly meetings open to the public. A student representative is needed! This position will start in May 2020 and continue over the next year.

Interested in volunteering? Here’s a brief overview of what’s involved:
  • Meeting frequency: Quarterly (four meetings per year)
  • Time commitment: 1-year and 2-year terms, with the option for renewing
  • Purpose: To ensure the District is expending bond proceeds only for the purposes set forth in Measure X, as approved by the voters

Your health and wellness are important and connected to your ability to succeed as a student. Wellness Central is a free online health and wellness resource that is available 24/7 in your space at your pace.

Students enrolled in credit courses have access to WellVia, a telehealth and telemedicine service provided via telephone and secure video by board-certified physicians. The first consultation is FREE of cost to the student.
