Holiday Celebration

After hundreds of toys were donated through WCPO's Toy Team 9, they found their way into eager hands at our holiday party at the Joe Williams Family Center! Families enjoyed free food, children moved happily from one holiday activity to the next, and the whole place buzzed with excitement. The moment each child picked out a toy they loved was pure joy and gave families a chance to share something bright during a busy time of year.

Our Cookies with Santa event added even more fun. Children enjoyed cookies, joined in festive activities, and spent time with Santa in a cozy and cheerful setting.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these celebrations possible! Your generosity created real moments of joy for families across Price Hill and helped the season feel a little lighter and a lot more magical.

This Winter

The holidays have come and gone, but the coldest months of the year are just beginning, and they can be especially tough for many families in Price Hill. Rising utility bills, limited daylight, and higher costs for basic needs place added pressure on households already working hard to make ends meet.

This is when community kindness makes a real difference. Hosting a winter drive is a simple way to support families through this challenging season, whether by collecting food, warm clothing, or items from our wishlist. Your thoughtfulness can give a family a bag of groceries, freeing up money for a heating bill. By providing winter clothing, you can help a child stay warm on the walk to school, easing parents' minds. These thoughtful gestures offer real relief and warmth during a long winter ahead.

Tax Prep Volunteers Needed!

Tax season is coming soon, and volunteers have a chance to make a real difference for families in our community. Santa Maria is partnering again with United Way of Greater Cincinnati to support Free Tax Prep, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program that helps individuals and families with limited resources file their tax returns safely and at no cost. Last year, this program returned more than 12 million dollars to families across our region.

Many parents who qualify for important credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit miss out because filing fees are too expensive or they don’t have access to trustworthy tax help, making the task especially challenging to complete. Volunteers make it possible for families to receive the refunds they’re eligible for and avoid costly or predatory services.

There are several ways to serve: volunteers can help as greeters, screeners, tax preparers, reviewers, interpreters, or translators on Saturdays at Elder High School from February 1 through April 12. No experience is needed. Free training takes place from November through January and includes online IRS certification support. Corporate groups are welcome too.
