February Homeowner Education Opportunity Classes Announced
CAHPs Homeowner Education Resource Opportunity (HERO) program offers D-I-Y style home repair classes each month. Participants can expect to learn things like the basics of operating power tools, how to re-key your home, and weatherization tips for the winter months.

February will host a wall construction series. Each week participants will be guided through the different stages of designing, framing and constructing a wall. Classes are designed to be hands-on and provide participants with necessary safety tips.

Show Me the Money Day This Saturday
Show Me the Money Day is a free event that features financial products, community resources, workshops and fun! If you are looking to get a handle on your finances, learn ways to better manage your money, prepare yourself for home ownership or get help filing for income taxes this event can help you.

Down Payment Assistance Available for MSU Employees
The Employee Home Ownership Program (EHOP) provides home buying assistance from employers, specifically Michigan State University. Eligible employees can use $5,000 reward for either a down payment or closing costs. This program has no income restrictions.

Local Realtor Shares Expertise with Prospective Home Buyers

Come learn strategies for paying off debt and creating a balance budget. This class is held at the Allen Neighborhood Center.
