Nicholas House receives two exciting grants this spring!

Fulton County— We are excited to report that Nicholas House will once again receive funding from Fulton County's Consolidated Community Services Program. This grant is awarded to organizations whose innovative programming addresses gaps in the current systems and tests new and creative strategies to address the unmet needs of Fulton County residents. For over 15 years, Nicholas House has used this annual grant to maintain and expand our programs for families experiencing a housing crisis. This generous funding is provided in part by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners under the guidance of the Department of Community Development.

Causality Brand Grant— Nicholas House is thrilled to have been selected for an exciting matching grant from Causality, a creative agency specializing in nonprofit clientele. The grant will help fund an important branding project that will set the foundation for future growth and opportunities at Nicholas House. Before the creative work can be begin, we are focusing on securing the $17k in matching funds to get this project started. If you'd like to help jumpstart the process, you can donate here. Event volunteers needed later this month.

Help us with prep, set-up, guest check-in, and more.

Our annual fundraising event is coming up and we need your help to make sure the event is a success! Dream Builders: Cocktails for a Cause will take place the evening of Thursday, July 27th at The Carter Center. Volunteers are needed to help with event preparations the week leading up to the event, as well as venue set-up, event execution, and venue break down.

Donate gift cards for new school clothes!

Gift cards are given to families at our Back to School Bash in late July.

We are collecting gift cards that families can use to purchase new clothes for the upcoming school year. These donations help to ensure the kids in our program can start off the school year feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to learn! Amounts can range from $50 to $2,000 and should be for use at clothing stores in the Atlanta area, such as Target, Walmart, Old Navy, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx. General use VISA gift cards are also great! Cards can be mailed to us at PO Box 15577 Atlanta, GA 30333 or dropped off at the shelter.

June Club serves lunch at the shelter

For many years, the Zion Hill Baptist Church June Club has been an avid supporter of Nicholas House and the families we serve. The group came out last month for a day of service at the shelter, serving lunch to all our families. It is such a joy to see this group's heart for serving others. Thank you, ladies, for your continued support!

Cigar Men of Distinction Super Saturday

Nicholas House was honored to be a part of Cigar Men of Distinction's 3rd annual Super Saturday! The group coordinates volunteer projects at four different nonprofits for a supercharged day of impact. We want to give these volunteers an extra shoutout for cooking and serving an amazing brunch for our residents despite the water outage affecting the shelter.
