We are very excited that the restrictions are starting to dial back for fitness centers! We are now allowing more people in spaces and offering more programming:

  • Increased Wellness Center capacity

  • Doubles Pickleball
 
  • Increase to 2 people per basketball hoop

  • Accepting Nationwide Membership reciprocity

  • Increasing number of lap swimmers to 4

  • Singles racquetball

  • Additional group fitness classes
Change in Reservation Release Time

Effective this Thursday, January 28 we are changing the release time for reservations in certain areas.

The group fitness, aqua fit, lap lane and racquetball reservations will be available online between
4:30pm-5:30pm on Thursdays for the following week.

The front desk will be available to help with phone requests for reservations after 5:30pm on Thursdays.

Reservations will no longer be
released on Fridays
Child Watch/Kids Corner Survey
Child Watch (also known as Kids Corner) is our free sitting service included in family memberships, or you can pay for day use. We take care of your children in a safe, caring, friendly environment to give you some time to focus on you.

This service is available for kids from ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Please take a few minutes to complete a brief survey to help us tailor our program to your needs. Child Watch will kick off on Monday, February 8.
New Policy- A parent/guardian will be asked to return to Kids Corner if a diaper needs to be changed.
Programming Updates

We’ve been carefully planning a winter swim clinic to help condition your young swimmers.

Choose from various levels for kids starting at age 5.

Under the Governor’s Executive Order, Youth Sports have different restrictions, allowing us to accommodate more kids per lane for this activity.

Free Orientations

We have several orientations to help members feel comfortable at the YMCA:

Member orientations - 15 minutes to learn more about what we offer, what our current policies are to help keep you safe, and our optional membership upgrades of 24/7 access, coffee service, kit locker rental, and towel service. Sign up through our reservation system. 

Equipment orientations - approximately 30 minutes with a glorified tour of the Wellness Center to learn the basics of setting the machines and adding weight. Contact Jackie to schedule your orientation at jgoyette@winonaymca.org.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work through the finishing details for our new facility. Some of the more pressing items on our list include lower stools for the women's locker room, clocks, interior signage, slippery locker room floors and pool deck, and body weight scales for the locker rooms. We welcome additional feedback and suggestions, and appreciate your interest and concern in ensuring the best possible member experience.
COVID-19 Exposure Alerts
We are very excited to be in a great new facility that members can enjoy more and more as the Governor's restrictions start to loosen for fitness centers.

However, it is still critical for the safety of our staff and members that everyone adheres to our COVID-19 policies.

The YMCA will only contact members who are identified as close contacts (within 6 ft for 15 minutes or more) during the infectious period of someone that tests positive and has been in our facility during their infectious period.

In certain circumstances we will also alert casual contacts (less than 15 minutes or within the same closed space for less than 2 hours). We appreciate your help in keeping our doors open and our members safe and healthy.
Looking Ahead
Researching A New Reservation System 

Our reservation system is important in helping us comply with the Executive Order to ensure we stay under our capacity limit and provide an accurate record of who is in our facility, when, and where. We are researching additional options for platforms that meet our functionality needs and provide a smooth user experience. Thank you for your patience.
