Calling all 16-17 year-olds who love using the Wellness Center, gym, or racquetball/handball courts! We've reduced the minimum age for 24/7 access to 16. 16-17 year-olds must have direct adult supervision upon entering, using, and exiting the facility. 24/7 access for minors will be revoked if they are unsupervised. 24/7 access is available for an additional $10/month per family/membership unit, and each eligible member must sign a 24/7 waiver. Paperless Membership Experience
|
We are excited to soon roll out a new paperless membership experience. This will not only help the environment, but also allows members to:
- Sign up for a membership or make changes to your membership quicker
- Access your membership forms and documents at any time
- Cut clutter and conserve paper
The first step in our transition is to no longer print copies of schedules. Beginning October 1, paper schedules will no longer be available at the Front Desk.

Welcome, Rey! New Companionship Director
|
Hi! I'm Rey Skywalker Goyette, but you can just call me Rey. My family really likes the new Star Wars Trilogies, and they got my name from one of the main characters on there. I am a six year-old Golden Retriever who found my fur-ever home after my family lost their four-legged pal before me, Jasmine. They still miss Jasmine, but I've done a pretty good job healing their hearts since I've come home to them.
My favorite things in the world are, in no particular order: My human parents Jackie, Chris, my three human kids, and long walks with my fur-brother Vinny. I also love to nap and dream of chasing squirrels and bunnies. Of course I adore cuddles and belly rubs, too! My Mom would probably like me to list my three kitty siblings, but I don't particularly like them, and they take the humans' attention and cuddles away from me!
I am a little nervous, but also very excited, to be the the Companionship Director and work with all the fantastic people here at the Y. I'm looking forward to spending some of the workdays with my Mom, Jackie, the Fitness & Wellness Director. As Companionship Director, I am here to offer my support to those who need a little mood boost from a four-legged friend, or a furry listening ear to talk to. I'll be easing into the transition from being a lazy lounger to a career canine. You'll see me coming in periodically with my Mom so I can adjust to all the new smells, people, and thrilling attention. Please don't be afraid to shower me with pets and affection, and don't be stingy with praise. I really am a smart and well-behaved girl!

Resilience is our ability to get through challenging circumstances, and not just get through them, but come out stronger and wiser on the other side. It is a foundational component of our mental health. Resilience is like a muscle, the more we train it, the stronger it gets. It grows through healthy and supportive relationships, taking care of ourselves and others, and asking for help when we need it. Join our friend Sarah Johnson for the Dinner Table Resilience video series and skills sheets on building resilience. Tips, topics, skills, and strategies that we can use at our own tables to build resilience in ourselves and others.
Thank you to our friends at the La Crosse Family YMCA for allowing us to promote these fantastic videos to our members!
